Operations Manager Opportunity

Polyaire Air Conditioning Products is a leading manufacturer of innovative air conditioning and ventilation products in Australia. We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead our Western Victorian branches.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing leadership to branch employees, driving branch performance, and achieving financial targets. Key responsibilities include:

  • Driving sales activity to achieve business objectives by identifying new business opportunities
  • Monitoring and managing labour and overtime to improve efficiency
  • Managing HR issues and performing performance reviews for Operations and Counter Sales personnel
  • Delivering a consistent and engaging customer experience
  • Oversight of counter sales, logistics, and warehousing activities to ensure products are delivered on time
  • Leading and developing team performance through effective people management strategies
  • Ensuring regular performance conversations and providing constructive feedback
  • Working with all departments to ensure quality customer service and satisfaction
  • Managing safety, quality, and presentation of the store, warehouse, and office
  • Ensuring compliance with procedures and building a strong WHS culture
  • Managing inventory levels and efficient stock management

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Preferred professional qualifications in stock control and/or logistics
  • Strong customer relationship building skills
  • High emotional intelligence and people leadership accountability
  • Strong business acumen with a proven track record in a similar role
  • Excellent customer focus with issue resolution skills
  • Strong operational background with logistics and warehousing knowledge
  • Well-developed communication skills with relationship management
  • Electronic inventory/sales systems skills an advantage
