Job Title: Tar Truck Operator

We are seeking a skilled Tar Truck Operator to join our team in Lithgow, NSW. This is a full-time opportunity for the right candidate.

Job Description

As a Tar Truck Operator, you will play a vital role in the maintenance of urban bitumen patching and be responsible for the safe operation of Council's Flow Con equipment. You will also be required to perform duties relevant to Council's operations according to work instructions requested by the Urban Overseer.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining the Tar Truck with daily checks, safety checks, oil and coolant checks, securing loads and equipment.
  • Transporting loose materials, preparing for loading, and dispatching coldmix/hotmix material.
  • Operating Flow Con in a safe manner, in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications and recommendations.
  • Setting up Traffic Procedures by correctly implementing Traffic Control Plans on worksites.
  • Performing other duties as directed by the supervisor.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A current MR Truck Licence.
  • A WHS General Induction for Construction Certificate (Whitecard).
  • Traffic Control Stop/Slow (Blue Card) certification.
  • Demonstrated experience in truck driving.
  • A commitment to Work Health and Safety.
  • Demonstrated commitment to honesty and integrity.
