Job Opportunity

The Lithgow City Council is seeking a skilled Plant Operator to join their Rural Works team. This exciting opportunity involves operating the backhoe loader and other duties as required.

As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for loading materials and excavating trenches while working in a roadwork environment.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and maintain backhoe equipment.
  • Excavate trenches and assist in laying pipes.
  • Load trucks with road base, pipes, drums, and other materials.
  • Perform field duties in a roadwork environment.
  • Set up traffic procedures and control traffic.
  • Perform roadworks.

Requirements:
  • Class C Drivers Licence.
  • Demonstrated competency in the operation of a backhoe.
  • WH&S Induction for Construction Works Certificate (White Card).
  • Traffic Control Ticket.
  • Willingness to undertake additional training.
  • Demonstrated commitment to Work Health & Safety and Risk Management procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to the principles of integrity and honesty.
