Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Operational Risk Manager to join our team. This is a key leadership role that will play a critical part in ensuring the effective management of operational risk across the organization.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in operational risk management and be able to lead risk and control self-assessments, provide operational risk advice, and collaborate with senior stakeholders to develop practical solutions for managing non-financial risks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead risk and control self-assessments (RCSA) to ensure effective identification and mitigation of operational risk
  • Provide operational risk advice to senior stakeholders and support the development of effective actions and remediation plans
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement risk management frameworks and policies
  • Investigate operational risk incidents and issues, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 8+ years of experience in operational risk management or internal control roles within the financial services industry
  • Strong ability to balance commercial outcomes within a risk framework, coupled with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Proven capability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a variety of stakeholders
  • Experience in leading RCSAs and performing control assurance activities
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to advise senior stakeholders and liaise with key support functions on policy and framework requirements
