Job Description

As Head Chef, you will be responsible for managing the entire kitchen operations, overseeing staff, and ensuring high standards of food quality and safety are maintained.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Menu Planning: Assist with designing menus that cater to dietary requirements, considering health conditions, dietary needs, and preferences.
  • Food Preparation: Prepare and cook meals using fresh ingredients, adhering to proper food handling and safety protocols.
  • Quality Control: Ensure all meals meet high-quality standards in taste, appearance, and portion sizes, making adjustments based on resident feedback.
  • Inventory & Budget Management: Manage stock levels and budget efficiently by sourcing ingredients cost-effectively and minimizing waste.
  • Nutritional Analysis: Collaborate with dietitians and nutritionists to analyze meal nutritional content, aiming to provide well-balanced options.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Certificate III or IV in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery) or higher.
  • Community and Health Services - Food Safety Supervisor Certification.
  • Adaptability, passion, and a willingness to learn.
