Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Telecommunications Specialist Advisor to join our team. As a key member of our project delivery team, you will play a critical role in providing expert telecommunications technical advice to ensure the safe and effective planning, execution, and commissioning of telecommunication assets in our high-voltage transmission network.

Your primary responsibility will be to deliver expert construction advice and recommendations to project managers, ensuring that all construction activities are carried out in accordance with our construction standards, policies, and practices.

You will also be required to inspect telecommunication infrastructure works, confirming quality assurance and ensuring compliance with our project delivery standards.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from planning and design to construction and commissioning. You will be part of a high-performing team that is dedicated to delivering world-class energy solutions.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An Associate Diploma in Telecommunications/Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification;
  • Significant relevant experience in the installation, testing, and commissioning of telecommunications equipment;
  • Demonstrated experience working as a telecommunications technologist, consultant, or commissioning technician providing installation and commissioning advice;
  • Demonstrated specialist knowledge across a number of fields, including microwave radio, fibre optic transmission systems, power line carrier equipment, and SDH, PDH, and DWDM multiplexing systems.
