Electrical Reliability Specialist

To drive operational efficiency, we seek an experienced Electrical Engineer to provide technical support for electrical equipment and instrumentation across our infrastructure.

This role involves developing asset management strategies, ensuring equipment reliability, and driving safety through risk assessments and predictive maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve the reliability and performance of electrical equipment, reducing unplanned outages and maintenance costs.
  • Apply data analysis and digital tools to predict failures and plan interventions.
  • Oversee electrical system design and installation to meet industry standards and regulations.
  • Work closely with mechanical, process, and operations teams to integrate electrical components seamlessly into plant infrastructure.
  • Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostics to identify and resolve electrical issues promptly, providing technical support to site electricians.
  • Stay on top of emerging technologies and industry trends, recommending and implementing enhancements to operational efficiency.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience in electrical reliability engineering within a mining or industrial processing environment.
  • Certificate IV in Hazardous Areas or Classification Competency provided by a Registered Training Organisation.
  • TÜV or equivalent qualification in Functional Safety (desirable).
  • Proficient in root cause analysis and failure mode effects analysis.
  • Demonstrated experience with managing electrical equipment hazardous areas and instrumentation equipment hazardous areas.
