As a seasoned electrical engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical and reliability support for electrical equipment and instrumentation across our Non-Processing Infrastructure and Green Energy Hub.

This includes developing asset management strategies, ensuring equipment reliability, and driving safety through HAZIDs, HAZOPs, FMECA and RCA. If you're passionate about integrating green energy into mining, this could be the perfect opportunity for you to shape a more sustainable future.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve the reliability and performance of electrical equipment, reducing unplanned outages and maintenance costs.
  • Apply data analysis and digital tools to predict failures and plan interventions.
  • Oversee electrical system design and installation to meet safety and compliance standards.
  • Work closely with mechanical, process and operations teams to integrate electrical components seamlessly into plant infrastructure.
  • Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostics to identify and resolve electrical issues promptly, providing technical support to site electricians.
  • Stay on top of emerging technologies and industry trends, recommending and implementing enhancements to operational efficiency.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Experience in electrical reliability engineering within a mining or heavy industrial processing environment.
  • Certificate IV in Hazardous Areas or Classification Competency provided by a Registered Training Organisation.
  • TÜV or equivalent qualification in Functional Safety is highly desirable.
  • Experience with VSDs, protection relays, power system analysis, HV/LV assets is highly regarded.
  • Proficient in root cause analysis and failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA).
  • Demonstrated competency in SAP; knowledge in utilising databases in SQL or Snowflake is an advantage.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing electrical equipment hazardous areas is essential.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing instrumentation equipment hazardous areas is essential.
  • Working within a processing operation and/or refinery with gas infrastructure is highly desirable.
  • Working with High Voltage and Low Voltage Electrical Assets is essential.
