Job Description:
Chef OpportunityWe are seeking a talented and experienced chef to join our team at St Vincent's Care Services Hawthorn on a part-time basis. In this role, you will have the opportunity to provide fine dining experiences for our residents, delivering multi-course meals and planning various menus.
This is an ideal position for someone who is passionate about cooking and wants to make a difference in the lives of others. You will work alongside a highly experienced team in a dynamic environment that values compassion, justice, integrity, and excellence.

St Vincent's Care Services (SVCS) is a leading Catholic provider of aged care in Australia, offering residential, community, and independent living services through 23 facilities across Queensland, New South Wales, and Victoria.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience with volume cooking in environments such as hotels, healthcare, or similar
- Excellent knowledge of food services, including chill production and dining service planning
- Ability to lead daily kitchen operations with the support of kitchenhands and ensure smooth running
- Understanding and compliance with food safety and hygiene standards
- High-level customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
- Ability to follow care plan directives
- Understanding of aged care, resident rights, and responsibilities
