Cloud Engineer Position

Our organization seeks a skilled Cloud Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our digital operations team, you will be responsible for designing and maintaining cloud-based systems to ensure the stability and security of our cloud environment.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in cloud services, infrastructure management, and database administration. Proficiency in virtualization, storage platforms, and networking technologies is also highly desirable.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing, building, and maintaining cloud-based systems
  • Ensuring the efficient operation and security of cloud-based systems
  • Providing technical guidance and support to the team
  • Collaborating with IT Security to align system hardening with relevant guidelines
  • Developing and enhancing automated processes for reliable solution deployment
  • Participating in ICT Operations device evaluations and ensuring applications and infrastructure perform efficiently

To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate the following skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
  • Microsoft Azure and 365 training and certifications are desirable
  • Ability to create and maintain comprehensive documentation
  • Experience in overseeing system upgrades and rollouts
  • Ability to provide effective training to users
  • Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools
  • Demonstrated skills in problem-solving, prioritization, and incident management
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Salary: $96,503 to $108,869 per annum depending on skills and experience. Superannuation is paid at 15.4%.

This is an irregular/intermittent opportunity that may be offered for varying periods up to 12 months. A merit pool established through this selection process may be used to fill future ongoing or non-ongoing vacancies.
