About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at BallyCara. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing essential care and support to our clients, enabling them to live comfortably and independently in their own homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with personal care, mobility, and domestic tasks to ensure our clients' physical and emotional well-being.
  • Provide social support and facilitate community and wellness activities to promote our clients' mental and emotional health.
  • Communicate effectively with your team leader about client needs and progress to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Transport clients to appointments and social events, promoting their independence and social connections.
  • Travel throughout the community between client homes, providing care and support where needed.

Essential Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Minimum Certificate III Individual Support, Aged Care, or Community, or current nursing students with completed aged care placement.
  • Previous experience in aged care or community services.
  • Basic computer skills and accurate documentation.
  • Ability to work independently and report to a supervisor.
  • Empathy, patience, and a positive attitude towards aging.
  • Current Australian Open Drivers License, reliable vehicle, National Police Check, first-aid and CPR certificates, and COVID-19 vaccination status as per the Government recommendations.
