Immersive Technology Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Immersive Technology Specialist to join our team.

This role requires a strong background in immersive technology, with experience in delivering design and solutions to clients, on-site tech installations and/or support of ICT/AV systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation and support of immersive virtual reality labs at client sites across NSW.
  • Providing technical assistance and advice throughout and after the install process.
  • Juggling multiple projects and deadlines, overcoming obstacles and ensuring clients have a fully installed lab on time.
  • Recommending suitable hardware and software solutions based on industry experience.
  • Providing sound technical advice both on site and remotely.
  • Championing lab implementation and support.
  • Daily communication with the Project Manager for site task updates and risks, issues and opportunities.
  • Working with a range of clients and acting as the point of contact for technical enquiries.
  • Learning and experiencing the immersive technology first hand.
  • Providing all on-site support to all NSW labs, and to some interstate labs.
  • Providing exceptional service to our clients, providing guidance and support throughout the installation process.
  • Acting as a conduit between contractors and clients to ensure that the product fulfils all of our client expectations and fits with their vision.
  • Driving innovation to ensure that our labs are dynamic and constantly evolving.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualification in ICT / AV or similar.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in delivering design and solutions to clients, on-site tech installations and/or support of ICT/AV systems.
  • Experience in building and configuring PCs and ICT hardware.
  • Passion for and understanding of best practice when using emerging technologies in the classroom.
  • In-depth knowledge of audio visual systems, ICT and VR systems.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, and a 'can-do' attitude to tackle challenges and hurdles.
  • Customer service skills and the ability to build positive relationships with clients and colleagues.
