Job Title: Immersive Learning Specialist

Lumination is an immersive technology company that revolutionises the way we teach, learn and work. Our mission is to provide innovative solutions to Education, Government, Defence and Enterprise by leveraging emerging technologies in immersive reality learning and extended reality training simulations.

This role involves developing engaging, curriculum-aligned lesson plans, immersive learning experiences and unique content that incorporate cutting-edge technologies. You will deliver professional learning and development opportunities for teachers in various schools across the state and interstate, online or in a hybrid capacity. You will facilitate and participate in our online teacher communities.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop strong relationships with stakeholders to create immersive learning resources and activities
  • Deliver immersive technology-based professional development courses for teachers and school ICT staff
  • Engage with our online teacher community, providing content, feedback and support opportunities
  • Design, develop and implement innovative student-focused lesson plan content specifically for use within our Lumination Learning Labs
  • Develop and deliver education technology-focused event and workshop content

Requirements:

  • A tertiary qualification in Education
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in creating, evaluating and delivering curriculum-linked educational content in a classroom or other similar setting
  • Ability to connect the use of emerging technologies across the curriculum (Australian Curriculum, NSW Curriculum, Victorian Curriculum)
  • A passion for best practice when using emerging technologies like VR, AR, AI, and coding in the classroom
  • A current teacher's registration, with relevant training in mandatory notification, first aid and working with children's check
  • Engaging presentation skills and a drive to build strong relationships with teachers and other stakeholders
