The Role

As an Infrastructure Operations Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure. You will be responsible for maintaining, monitoring and supporting our computing platforms, working with business stakeholders and technical teams to design and implement new solutions.

Your focus will be on continual improvement, including maintenance, upgrades and automation. You will also provide 2nd and 3rd level support for complex issues and share your skills and knowledge with the Operations team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and monitor our IT infrastructure, identifying opportunities for improvement and automation.
  • Work with business stakeholders and technical teams to scope, design, implement and maintain new solutions.
  • Provide 2nd and 3rd level support for complex issues, diagnosing and resolving problems efficiently.
  • Share your skills and knowledge with the Operations team, contributing to a supportive and collaborative environment.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Advanced experience in infrastructure and systems management, preferably in a deadline-driven environment.
  • A strong understanding of cloud technologies and hybrid on-premises environments.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Certifications such as MCSE Server, Linux Administration or VMware Data Centre Virtualisation would be highly regarded.
