Job Title: Field Service Supervisor

Canadian Solar is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Service Supervisor to join our team. As a Field Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading a team of service technicians and ensuring the smooth operation of our energy storage systems.

Responsibilities:
  • Assign tasks to senior service and service technicians to ensure timely completion of maintenance and repair tasks.
  • Support senior service and service technicians during daily and weekly tasks to ensure efficient operation of energy storage systems.
  • Coordinate senior service and service technicians to attend sites to complete tasks as necessary.
  • Commission CSI Energy Storage's Solbank Storage Power Block to ensure optimal performance.
  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance of SPBs to adhere to warranty requirements.
  • Fulfill obligations for BESS equipment under LTSA's, which may include energy storage cabinets, power conversion stations, ring main units, transformers, SCADA, and networking devices.
  • Provide onsite diagnostic, troubleshooting, and hands-on support to maintain equipment and achieve availability and capacity guarantees.
  • Oversee and supervise subcontractors on site where required.
  • Assist in developing standard operating procedures and processes.
  • Complete work order documentation in a timely manner.
  • Ensure inventory of spare parts is accurate.
  • Perform proper LOTO and switching procedures as required.
  • Support client training during commissioning.
  • Adhere to all health and safety rules and policies.
  • Complete other duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Minimum 2 years in a team leader/supervisor role.
  • Qualified electrical technician.
  • Minimum 5+ years of relevant work experience in a service environment, preferably in renewable energy.
  • Construction Skills Certification Scheme will be beneficial.
  • Previous training and knowledge of inverters.
  • Knowledge of BESS equipment preferred.
  • SCADA experience will be beneficial.
  • Knowledge of general and national codes, medium voltage power systems, and energy storage system applications is an asset.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency using MS Office Applications (Word, Excel).
  • Previous experience with a CMMS software program preferred.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • First Aid Trained will be beneficial.
  • Must be able to travel to regional locations as needed.
  • Ability to function successfully both independently and within a team.
  • Demonstrated professional appearance and conduct.
