Vulnerable Groups Specialist

We are seeking skilled professionals with excellent analytical, assessment and communication skills to work in child protection.
- Conduct assessments to identify and address safety concerns for children and young people within a collaborative program.
- Prioritize engagement with children, young people and their carers/family, respecting cultural differences and context.
- Gather accurate information to make informed decisions on the well-being of children/young people and families.
- Maintain casework standards that adapt to changing needs and circumstances.
- Develop relationships with agencies and stakeholders to deliver holistic services for vulnerable groups.
- Engage in ongoing learning and professional development to ensure contemporary practice knowledge and skills.
- Keep accurate records for reporting and sharing information.
- Negotiate sensitive discussions to mitigate risks and enhance safety.
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in statutory child protection or investigation services.
- Preferred: completed Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work or related field, plus practical experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and ability to build positive working relationships.
- A valid driver's license.
Working with vulnerable children and families can be challenging but rewarding. To succeed as a Caseworker, you must be confident, curious and resilient.
