Job Opportunity

We are seeking skilled professionals with excellent analytical, assessment and communication skills to work in child protection.

  • Conduct assessments to identify and address safety concerns for children and young people within a collaborative program.
  • Prioritize engagement with children, young people and their carers/family, respecting cultural differences and context.
  • Gather accurate information to make informed decisions on the well-being of children/young people and families.
  • Maintain casework standards that adapt to changing needs and circumstances.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop relationships with agencies and stakeholders to deliver holistic services for vulnerable groups.
  • Engage in ongoing learning and professional development to ensure contemporary practice knowledge and skills.
  • Keep accurate records for reporting and sharing information.
  • Negotiate sensitive discussions to mitigate risks and enhance safety.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in statutory child protection or investigation services.
  • Preferred: completed Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work or related field, plus practical experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and ability to build positive working relationships.
  • A valid driver's license.
