Infrastructure Manager

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Manager to join our team. This key leadership role is responsible for delivering high-quality infrastructure outcomes and ensuring the effective management of Council's assets.

About The Role:

  • Lead the design, delivery, and maintenance of Council's infrastructure assets including roads, footpaths, kerb and gutter, stormwater networks, and marine structures.
  • Develop strategic asset management plans, oversee capital works programs, and ensure the application of engineering excellence in project delivery.
  • Manage a team of engineers to deliver infrastructure projects on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards.
  • Act as asset owner for multiple asset classes, ensuring compliance with relevant policies, strategies, and plans.
  • Provide authoritative technical advice to stakeholders and the community.
  • Deliver effective project management including procurement, contract administration, and budget control.
  • Engage in high-level consultation and liaison with residents, government agencies, contractors, and elected officials.
  • Drive innovation and sustainability in infrastructure planning and delivery.

Essential Criteria:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering and Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status with Engineers Australia (mandatory).
  • Demonstrated experience in civil and building design, asset management, and delivery of civil works programs.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing professional engineering teams.
  • Extensive project management experience with proven budgetary and contractual oversight.
  • High-level communication skills with the ability to influence and negotiate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Current Class C Driver's Licence.
