We are seeking a dedicated and caring Residential Youth Worker to join our team at Edmen Community Staffing Solutions. As a key member of our team, you will be working with young people in residential settings, providing support and care to help them achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create a Safe and Supportive Home: Foster a secure, nurturing environment for at-risk youth.
  • Empower Daily Living: Assist with personal care, meals, and hygiene to promote independence.
  • Facilitate Transportation: Ensure young people attend school, appointments, and community activities.
  • Promote Growth: Encourage skill development and socialization within the local community.
  • Manage Health Needs: Administer medications and maintain accurate reporting.
  • Deliver Trauma-Informed Care: Support youth with complex behaviors using trauma-informed approaches.
  • Engage in Therapeutic Practices: Participate in the Trauma Recovery framework and complete Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) within your first three months.

Requirements:

  • Hold (or be studying towards) a Certificate IV in Youth Work, Child, Youth and Family Intervention, Social Work, Disability Support Work or similar.
  • Australian Drivers License (P2 or higher).
  • Working with Children Check (Blue Card).
  • Current First Aid & CPR certificate.
  • 3 months paid experience as a Residential Youth Worker.
  • The ability to work a mixture of day, night and weekend shifts as required.
