As an experienced Engineering Principal, you will play a crucial role in supporting ADF capability acquisition and sustainment projects in Sydney and Canberra. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in either maritime acquisition or sustainment programs.

The successful applicant will have:

  • Possess relevant qualifications in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Systems, Naval Architecture), with more than 15 years' experience within the Maritime engineering domain.
  • Have received a formal delegation from DGENG-N, DENG-A or equivalent regulatory authority to undertake a role as a project's engineer.
  • Have prior experience in a Defence acquisition or sustainment setting. Alternatively, experience within the wider defence Industry with equivalent delegated authorities for governance and assurance over military materiel.
  • Have built and/or maintained or has experience working within an authorised engineering organisation and the underpinning plans and processes, while executing assurance activities over products either in-service or in delivery.
  • Have a demonstrated history providing formal delegations to suitably qualified and experienced personnel under the relevant AEO.

Candidates are required to hold or have the ability to obtain a Negative Vetting 1 (NV1) Australian Government Security Clearance as a minimum and be eligible to access information subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITARs).
