
Senior Property Care Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Professional to join our dedicated team at our residential aged care home in Hamilton, QLD. In this role you will maintain the interior and exterior of our property including building, common areas, grounds & gardens.
Your main responsibilities include:
• Maintaining our grounds & gardens including gurneying, rubbish removal, leaf blowing & general tidying of outdoor spaces.
• Undertaking repairs and general maintenance in the home.
• Ensuring the interior and exterior of our properties are well presented.
• All maintenance repairs are completed to a high standard.
• Maintaining and monitoring all waste collection and waste housing areas.
• Ensuring any request for maintenance is responded to in a timely manner.
• Ensuring the preventable maintenance schedule is adhered to & up to date.
• Attending site meetings & all mandatory staff training as directed.
• Maintaining a safe workplace at all times; is clear on the WHS implications on the maintenance role.
• Ensuring the use of external contractors is reviewed with the site Facility Manager or Hotel Services Manager.
• Liaising with contractors & subcontractors to ensure jobs are completed in a timely manner and to a high standard.
To be successful in this position you will have demonstrated experience in general maintenance and repair duties.
You will also require good communication skills and the ability to liaise professionally with residents, staff, visitors and contractors.
The ideal candidate will have an ability to work effectively with minimal supervision, prioritise tasks and provide a high level of customer service.
They will also hold a current driver's license and possess a positive attitude towards their work.
