As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing medical equipment in the field, providing exceptional customer service, and contributing to the growth and success of our service organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement technical service functions for STERIS equipment
  • Perform equipment installations, preventive maintenance, validations, and repairs in the field
  • Interface with customers to provide quality product support, including in-service sessions, equipment demonstrations, and technical training
  • File product complaints according to company procedures
  • Assist with spare parts inventory management and identify training needs
  • Maintain preventive maintenance and troubleshooting records, and document internal procedures
  • Manage and maintain equipment and spares database files
  • Deliver superior customer after-sales support

Requirements:

  • Trades Certificate or Engineering Certificate/Diploma with strong hands-on technical service experience with medical equipment
  • Experience in troubleshooting, repair, modification, overhaul, or refurbishment of standard and special purpose equipment and systems components
  • Ability to operate a computer, with intermediate understanding of DOS and Windows, and proficiency in Microsoft Office software packages
  • Visual acuity and manual dexterity to manipulate tools and equipment
  • Customer-oriented and focused, with ability to travel within Australia as assigned
