About the Role

The Project Officer, Contract Management Specialist is a key role within the SA Government - DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN SERVICES, accountable to the Manager, Domestic and Family Violence. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing expert advice and undertaking the preparation, negotiation, and monitoring of service and grant agreements in accordance with the department's requirements.
  • Supporting and facilitating the ongoing development and capacity building of the department's funded service providers.
  • Coordinating policy, projects, and strategy to achieve the department's priorities.
  • Providing consultation services to a range of clients on government policy, specific programs, and women's issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare high-level written documents, including procurement documents, contract management reports, ministerial briefings, submissions, and reports to a range of stakeholders.
  • Provide advice and contribute to the preparation, negotiation, and monitoring of service agreements, including liaising with the department's funded service providers on issues related to compliance and performance.
  • Evaluate the implementation of policies and programs, including undertaking appropriate data and outcome analysis.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships and networks with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Facilitate consultation and communication with clients and non-government agencies to obtain information regarding state programs and policy initiatives, including provision of input into national policy initiatives.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor projects by preparing regular project reports, briefings, and other relevant correspondence.
  • Contribute to the achievement of effective systems that support the department's strategic directions by building and maintaining professional and effective partnerships with staff and key stakeholders.
