Lead Graphic Designer Job Description

As a key member of our creative team, you will be responsible for developing innovative design concepts and bringing them to life across multiple channels. Your role will involve generating ideas that are strategically informed and deeply integrated between all touchpoints and product experiences.

You will work closely with a team of creatives to collaborate on projects that require expertise in design, video, motion graphics, copywriting, photography, experiential, and interactive disciplines. Your ability to consistently deliver high-quality work while maintaining attention to detail will be vital in upleveling the design and quality of our craft.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing concepts and designs for print and digital media, including websites, social media graphics, email campaigns, and more.
  • Demonstrating a deep understanding and appreciation for system thinking and contributing to the development of documentation for others to create on-brand creative content.
  • Assisting in the creation of visually appealing and effective designs that communicate information to our target audience.
  • Managing multiple projects simultaneously, adhering to project timelines, and delivering projects on time.
Required Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess:

  • A strong graphic design and creative process, with experience working towards solutions across various media.
  • A portfolio packed with innovative, impactful, and acclaimed creative work that demonstrates your ability to lead, art direct, and develop designs that resonate culturally and influence business results.
  • Visual storytelling skills, with the capacity to think outside the box and prepare design plans, concepts, and layouts for creative projects.
  • Knowledge of multiple functional areas, including web, print, video, social media, and strategy.
  • Capacity for problem-solving and knowledge of design trends and principles.
  • Ability to apply feedback from senior colleagues.
  • Extensive knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite – in particular Photoshop, Illustrator & InDesign.
  • Well-developed organisational and time management skills, along with the ability to be flexible and respond quickly to changing priorities.
  • Commitment to our values and mission, including a desire to reach people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ and an ability to relate to and respect people from a variety of faith backgrounds.
