
Family Support Worker: Vulnerable Families

The Family Preservation program is a targeted support initiative designed to prevent vulnerable families from escalating into the child-protection or Out of Home Care system.
As a caseworker, you will work within service provision guidelines and Wesley Family Preservation's framework by maintaining a focus on child wellbeing outcomes. This involves mandatory reporter guidelines and effective safety planning with the family.
We are seeking someone who is committed to child-focused practice, involving the identification and analysis of safety and wellbeing concerns for children. You will also need to be culturally competent, with experience working alongside CALD and Aboriginal families.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing supportive, tactful, and empathetic services to families in need;
- Maintaining a focus on child wellbeing outcomes through effective safety planning and mandatory reporting;
- Working collaboratively with other professionals to ensure seamless service delivery;
You should have a university qualification in social work or a related field, with a commitment to continued training and learning opportunities to improve your practice. A NSW Drivers Licence and willingness to travel across the Western Sydney, Nepean, and Blue Mountains region are also essential.
A current Working with Children's Check (WWCC) is required for this role.
