Family Support Specialist Role

This challenging role involves providing psychosocial interventions and support to vulnerable families across the region.

The Family Support Specialist will work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, utilizing their expertise in Social Work to facilitate service collaboration, advocacy, case management, and consultation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting home visits to assess family needs and provide responsive support
  • Collaborating with healthcare professionals to develop and implement tailored care plans
  • Participating in case reviews and contributing to the holistic provision of services to families

Requirements

  • A degree in Social Work which provides eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
  • Demonstrated experience in a health-related field, with a focus on Social Work interventions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • A commitment to ongoing professional learning and development
