About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced accounting professional to join our team as a Coordinator Accounting Services. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers a competitive salary and a range of benefits.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the finance team, setting work allocations and priorities to ensure high-quality day-to-day operations, compliance with statutory requirements, and adherence to Council policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Manage the financial and supply chain modules of our TechnologyOne – Ci Anywhere system, including overseeing the year-end rollover process.
  • Take the lead in managing audits, including communication with auditors and the Office of the Auditor General.
  • Coordinate the preparation of the annual budget and mid-year budget review.
  • Complete annual financial statements, end of year audit work papers, and general reconciliations.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in Finance or Accounting and/or substantial equivalent experience in a similar role, preferably in Local Government.
  • Substantial experience working with the TechnologyOne - Ci Anywhere system.
  • Extensive knowledge of financial discipline and the ability to interpret and apply accounting standards.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Sound supervisory and leadership skills with relevant experience.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and research skills.

  • Competitive salary range of $111,392 - $129,437 per annum, dependent on skills and experience.
