About the Role

DFP Recruitment Services is seeking an experienced APS5 Case Coordinator to join our team in the Indigenous Service Delivery Stream. As a Case Coordinator, you will play a critical role in providing culturally appropriate case management support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants aged 55 and over, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants who request support through the ISDS team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply the National Redress Scheme for Institutional Child Sexual Abuse Act 2018 and relevant policies, procedures, and guidelines to all interactions.
  • Under limited direction, be accountable for organizing workflow and escalating risks and issues when needed.
  • Provide culturally appropriate support through the application process, to assist applicants and their Redress Support Services.
  • Communicate with applicants confidently using trauma-informed principles.
  • Work as part of a team, managing a case load of sensitive and complex applications.
  • Use case management software to progress applications and keep accurate and comprehensive records.
Requirements
  • Australian citizen.
  • Current or ability to obtain baseline federal clearance.
  • Experience with case coordination in a call centre.
  • Trauma-informed training and experience.
