Job Title: Biological Research Specialist

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a cutting-edge research project in the Faculty of Sciences, Engineering, and Technology. As a Biological Research Specialist, you will play a key role in developing and testing innovative approaches to viral control using in vitro cell culture models.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and test CRISPR activation approaches to viral control
  • Conduct genetic and molecular manipulation of CRISPRa components
  • Cultivate mammalian cells in a PC2 laboratory setting
  • Collaborate with researchers to drive laboratory outputs and communicate results effectively
  • Apply strong data management skills to track progress and outcomes

Requirements:

  • PhD in Molecular Biology or related field
  • Experience in molecular biology/virology techniques
  • Knowledge of CRISPRa and CRISPR12a multiplexing systems
  • Strong communication and time management skills
  • Familiarity with laboratory housekeeping and standard operating procedures
