
Cancer Immunotherapy Research Specialist

Job Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled Research Officer to join our team and contribute to the achievement of defined objectives in the field of cancer immunology and immunotherapy.
This role provides an opportunity to participate in a dynamic translational research environment in Adelaide, with a focus on the design and validation of Chimeric Antigen Receptor (CAR) T cell-based therapies in preclinical models.
Main Responsibilities:
- Deliver research projects that contribute to the achievement of defined objectives
- Design and validate CAR T cell-based therapies in preclinical models
- Conduct high-parameter flow cytometry, microscopy, cell culture, and processing of human or mouse biological specimens, and animal tumour models
- Maintain accurate records and reports of research activities
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science (Honours) or other Bachelor's degree covering fields relevant to the area of research
- Expert knowledge of immunology and tumour biology
- Proven experience in high-parameter flow cytometry, microscopy, cell culture, and processing of human or mouse biological specimens, and animal tumour models
- Current National Police Clearance (NPC)
Desirable Criteria:
- A Masters or PhD degree for research in a relevant field
- Experience with molecular biology techniques including viral vectors
