Project Manager Job Description

This role involves leading engineering, planning and coordination efforts for projects from start to finish.

  • Plan, execute and monitor project activities to achieve project goals, scopes and timelines
  • Provide technical guidance on design, construction and maintenance of infrastructure
  • Compile technical information and drawings for project plans, develop material requirements with an understanding of material specifications
  • Manage procurement activities and contractors within project constraints
  • Project reporting, forecasting and budgeting
  • Close-out project activities including punch listing and documentation as required
Requirements and Skills
  • At least 3 years experience in a multi-disciplinary project team in the energy or oil and gas sector
  • Able to read and interpret technical drawings and diagrams
  • Familiarity with offshore project lifecycle phases from FEED to decommissioning
  • Knowledge of fabrication, welding and engineering principles, including Australian and International Standards
  • Competency in Microsoft Office and project management tools required, Primavera P6 – desirable
  • Familiarity with quality assurance and control processes
Qualifications
  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering discipline (Mechanical Engineering)
