Library Services Support Technician

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of our team as a Library Services Support Technician.
About the Position- Support the efficient and accurate provision of new library materials to library members by processing magazines and updating the library database.
- Communicate with external suppliers, partner libraries and interlibrary working groups.
- Provide guidance and supervision to support staff, including on-the-job training.
- Undertake customer service duties as required, including relief at other library locations, to ensure seamless operation of the library service.
- Ensure customers have a positive experience with Council by providing prompt, courteous and consistent customer service.
- Contribute to library administrative tasks such as financial processes, daily roster adjustments, and enquiries from customers.
- Maintain a welcoming, clean and accessible library environment.
- A diploma in Library and Information Services acceptable for membership of the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA).
- Demonstrated customer service experience in a public library setting.
- Good understanding of the role libraries play in the community.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
