Job Overview

We are seeking a Coordinated Network Specialist to join our team. As a Coordinated Network Specialist, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating onsite work activities enabling teams to construct and maintain the transmission and/or distribution electricity network in a safe, reliable, and affordable manner.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that teams are meeting required performance standards each day, in the completion of work
  • Work cooperatively within the teams and across Western Power
  • Receive, evaluate, and prepare work parcels for implementation
  • Schedule internal/external resources required to perform work
  • Be responsible for safety in the work environment and ensure safe work practices are followed and a safe work environment maintained
  • Evaluate and mitigate risks associated with work activities
  • Construct network infrastructure according to design specifications and construction standards
  • Deal with day-to-day technical issues that can arise, on site, relating to design and construction issues

Your Requirements:

  • Certificate III in ESI - Power Systems Distribution / Transmission Overhead or Certificate III in ESI - Power Systems Distribution Cable Jointing
  • Unrestricted Electricians Licence, certificate III Electro-Technology (Distribution Ground Mounted Equipment)
  • Relevant Network Authorisation including Construction industry white card and Basic Emergency Life Support
  • Demonstrated industry experience in the construction and maintenance of transmission and/or distribution electricity network
  • Application of Western Power's IT systems as required
