Brunel has been engaged to recruit a Power Network Manager for a leading energy business in Perth, Western Australia. This role is key to managing the coordination of new electricity network connections within the Pilbara region.

Job Description

This position involves end-to-end management of new electricity network connection requests. Key responsibilities include planning, assessment, and execution of these requests, ensuring alignment with engineering standards, regulatory requirements, and internal processes.

The successful candidate will provide commercial oversight of power network access and connection agreements to ensure cost recovery and economic viability. They will also coordinate technical due diligence in collaboration with engineering teams and serve as a key point of contact for customers and stakeholders.

The Power Network Manager will represent the business in regulatory negotiations and commercial discussions related to network connections. They will support the integration of new assets to ensure minimal disruption to existing operations.

Requirements
  • A tertiary qualification in Engineering, Law, Commerce, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in power network management or commercial operations in the energy sector.
  • Strong contract negotiation skills and knowledge of regulatory frameworks.
  • Experience working with ISO/regulatory bodies in a grid or transmission environment.
  • Sound commercial judgment and the ability to manage complex stakeholder engagement.
