Location: Northern Territory
About the Role:
The Business Director oversees strategic and operational leadership, advice, and management support in finance, procurement, administration, infrastructure, and human resource management for non-teaching staff in a demanding school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and supervision of non-teaching staff to ensure provision of procurement, administrative, infrastructure, budgets, financial management, and classroom support services for the school.
- Offer advice or facilitate advice on corporate matters for school-based managers and staff.
- Coordinate non-teaching staff training and recruitment with centralised service providers.
- Develop and implement corporate business support services, including grants management systems and internal controls.
- Implement continuous improvement programs for corporate support systems and processes.
- Liaise with centralised service providers to deliver business services and achieve school and departmental strategic objectives.
Selection Criteria:
- Demonstrated ability to analyse and advise on business support activities, including financial and human resource management.
- High level oral and written communication and interpersonal skills with understanding of cultural complexities in the Northern Territory.
- High adaptability, flexibility, and resilience, including ability to manage pressure and change.
- Experience in managing a service delivery team, including staff, resources, records, and assets.
- Ability to maintain integrity and confidentiality.
