Job Title: Project Design Manager

About the Role

The Project Design Manager is responsible for leading the design and delivery of renewable energy infrastructure projects. Key responsibilities include managing electrical design delivery performance, acting as primary point of contact for all design work, liaising with project managers, and overseeing designer performance.

This role requires a strong understanding of energy infrastructure, particularly substations, and experience in designing, constructing, and commissioning HV electrical infrastructure projects.

  • Key Skills:
    • Energy Infrastructure (particularly substations)
    • Extensive experience in designing, constructing, and commissioning HV electrical infrastructure projects
    • Expertise in civil, mechanical, control, protection, telecommunications, HV cable systems, and OHL systems components well regarded

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering
  • Chartered Engineer status desirable
  • 5-10 years of experience with significant site experience in HV substation construction preferred
