Estimator Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Estimator to contribute to major infrastructure and civil construction projects.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a professional with experience in estimating, project management, and team leadership.

The successful candidate will have strong analytical and communication skills, proficiency in estimating software, and the ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and manage estimating efforts for civil and infrastructure projects.
  2. Review drawings, specifications, and contract documents to prepare detailed cost estimates.
  3. Perform quantity take-offs and develop pricing for labor, materials, and subcontractors.
  4. Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure scope alignment.
  5. Prepare competitive bid packages and proposals for executive review.
  6. Identify risks and opportunities, providing strategic recommendations during bid phases.
  7. Mentor and support junior estimators in best practices and processes.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5+ years of estimating experience in civil, infrastructure, or heavy construction.
  • Strong knowledge of heavy civil construction means, methods, and cost structures.
  • Proficiency in estimating software (HCSS HeavyBid or Agtek preferred).
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence across teams.
