Mechanical Maintenance Technician

Establish a sustainable career in iron ore production with our site maintenance team. As a Mechanical Maintenance Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring operational efficiency, quality, and safety.

The ideal candidate has experience in processing environments, particularly with slurry pumps, grinding processes, magnetic separation, crushing, screens, and conveyors.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Diagnosing and fault-finding equipment
  • Performing assigned work tasks for scheduled and unscheduled work
  • Adhering to statutory and organisational OSH&E policies and requirements
  • Identifying, implementing, and communicating improvement opportunities in workplace areas
  • Collaborating with colleagues to write and improve job procedures for various maintenance tasks
  • Ensuring daily workloads are planned to meet deadlines and facilitate efficient turnaround results

Essential requirements include:

  • Trade qualification and competency certificates in a mechanical field
  • Confined Space Entry and Working at Heights tickets
  • WA 'C' Class Drivers Licence
  • Post-trade experience in mining or heavy industry, specifically in a process plant environment
  • Understanding of generic process plant policies and procedures
  • Knowledge and experience with maintenance management systems
  • Ability to plan work according to predicted operations requirements
