Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Chef/Cook to join our team at Melbourne Airport. This role is ideal for those passionate about food and who thrive in fast-paced environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and cook meals for the lounge, ensuring high-quality dishes that meet customer expectations.
  • Set up workstations with ingredients and cooking equipment, maintaining a sanitized and organized kitchen environment.
  • Prepare ingredients for use in cooking, including chopping, peeling vegetables, and cutting meat.
  • Cook food using various utensils or grillers, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Monitor food quality and presentation while cooking, making adjustments as necessary.
  • Maintain open communication with colleagues and management to ensure seamless service delivery.
Requirements:
  • Entry-level experience as a cook/chef with 1+ year of experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling).
  • Relevant qualifications/certificates are an advantage.
  • Ability to work varying shifts, including early morning starts and late finishes.
  • Strong communication, customer service, and teamwork skills.
