Are you highly organised, quality focused, and ready to step into an important role in flight catering operations? dnata catering & retail is seeking a detail-driven Senior Catering Attendant (SCA) - Flight Checker to join our high performance team.
This role plays a critical part in our quality chain, ensuring every meal that leaves our facility is safe, accurately presented and ready to be served to passengers at 30,000 feet. Your dedication to food safety, presentation standards, and service excellence helps protect our brand and uphold our commitment to our airline partners and their customers.
So, what does a typical day look like?
As a SCA Flight Checker, you'll be responsible for the final verification and confirmation of all catering components, including airline carts, equipment and special meals, before the handover to the Customer Delivery team. This role demands attention to detail and a strong sense of pride and responsibility. Every tray you check will be served to an airline passenger, so your commitment to Quality, Safety and Presentation matters.
In a Nutshell, Your Main Responsibilities Are
- Conduct final checks against flight documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Validate that carts and equipment are correctly packed and aligned with customer expectations and dnata standards and compliance.
- Complete documentation and rectify any discrepancies or shortages promptly.
- Work closely with the production team and communicate clearly with Customer Delivery staff during handover.
- Apply and promote food safety, HALAL requirements, HACCP, WHS, and quarantine compliance at all times.
- Support a culture of care, safety, and service excellence, ensuring passengers receive food that's safe, well-presented, and worthy of our name.
- Experience in airline catering or high-volume food production is ideal.
- A sharp eye for detail, with a passion for doing things right the first time.
- Physically capable of working in a chilled environment.
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to safe food handling practices.
