Job Title: Disability Support Worker

We are seeking passionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Disability Support Workers. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting people with disabilities to live independently and participate fully in their communities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver personal care and support to individuals with disabilities in their own homes or in our community programs.
  • Assist with daily living tasks, such as meal preparation, medication administration, and household chores.
  • Support individuals to attend appointments, community events, and participate in recreational activities.
  • Work collaboratively with our team to develop and implement individualized support plans.
  • Provide emotional support and advocacy to individuals with disabilities.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with people with disabilities, preferably in a support worker role.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work a wide range of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and nights.
  • Ability to stay calm and adaptable in challenging situations.
  • Confidence to engage with a diverse range of people.
  • Understanding of privacy and confidentiality and ability to treat sensitive information appropriately.

The hourly rate for this position is between $33.41 and $36.46 for part-time and $41.76 and $45.58 for casual (dependent upon relevant experience and qualification). If you are successful for this role, you will be required to attend a two-week paid training program upon commencement.
