Housing and Community Support Coordinator

The Housing and Wellbeing Specialist will work closely with individuals and families to build their capacity and empower them to overcome housing and wellbeing challenges.
This role involves outreach-based engagement, translating initial contact into strong partnerships that drive positive change.
- Strengthening stable housing and family/individual ability to maintain a tenancy, budget, and advocacy.
- Building parenting capabilities, skills, and knowledge that promote healthy child development.
- Fostering structured family routines that improve household management, healthy eating, and quality family time.
- Improving parental stress and personal well-being through mental health support coordination.
- Ensuring children meet developmental milestones by accessing pediatric services and allied health supports.
- Improving family financial stability through employment and training.
- Enhancing school attendance and educational engagement of parents.
- Supporting kindergarten enrollment and early years playgroups.
- Safeguarding family safety.
- Reducing substance misuse.
- Improving family health through preventative healthcare assessments.
- Enhancing dental care through annual check-ups.

This is a permanent full-time position.
The salary for this role is $94,000 (dependent on qualifications and experience), offering a competitive package.
Benefits include 11.5% Super + Not for Profit Salary Packaging (increasing your take-home pay).
A Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Human Services, or related field, with at least 2 years' relevant experience in social services.
OR a Diploma in Community Services, with 3 years' relevant experience in social service field.
At least 1 year of experience in a housing case management role.
Demonstrated ability to work in a performance-driven environment, meeting individual targets.
Capacity to empower clients, build agency, and facilitate change while discouraging dependence.
Knowledge of behaviour change interventions and whole-of-family approaches.
Ability to coordinate multiple services and access holistic care for clients.
Demonstrated understanding of client vulnerability factors and intergenerational trauma.
Experience with high-risk clients, planning, and organizational skills.
Knowledge of available supports for clients in areas like mental health, education, and employment.
A current driver's license and flexibility to work outside standard business hours.
Working with Children's Card (Blue Card) or eligibility to apply.
A current Police Check.
