Feedlot Loader Operator Position

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled loader operator to undertake various tasks in a feedlot environment.

  • Perform prestart inspections of all machinery prior to operation;
  • Report any mechanical faults to the supervisor;
  • Operate loaders to batch and load commodities for feeding out;
  • Undertake cleaning tasks, load trucks, and associated duties;
  • Operate feed trucks to roll out feeding schedules assigned;
  • Conduct general labouring type duties; and
  • Perform additional tasks as directed by the supervisor.

About You:

  • You will possess a good work ethic, be reliable and committed with a positive attitude;
  • Have sound plant operation skills;
  • Be willing to learn;
  • Be able to conduct physical work and be available for shift work where required;
  • Have reliable transport and a driver's license; and
  • Have been Q fever vaccinated or be willing to have Q fever vaccination.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience operating front end loaders, truck operations, bob cats and associated machinery is advantageous;
  • Hold HR Licenses and machinery tickets (advantageous but not essential);
  • Ability to work machinery in tight working environments;
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a team;
