Document Verification Specialist
The Document Verification Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy, authenticity and compliance of applicant documents and customer information. They work to minimize risk, maintain regulatory compliance and validate borrower information.
Main Responsibilities:
- Act as the escalation point for internal and external stakeholders to ensure verification tasks are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Review and verify applicant documentation in line with standard operating procedures.
- Manage direct communication with stakeholders, resolving issues and finding solutions to objections.
- Conduct quality reviews of customer identification, adhering to all relevant standards and company policies.
- Enter data accurately and efficiently, matching supporting documentation.
- Verify documents to ensure the accuracy of information, including payment, asset and encumbrance details.
- Maintain individual key performance indicators (KPIs), including set targets for daily activities.
- Maintain team service level agreements (SLA) requirements set by the business.
Key Qualifications:
- 1+ year's experience in finance or a related industry.
- Demonstrated experience in anti-money laundering (AML) and know-your-customer (KYC) obligations.
