Electrician/FMS Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Electrician/FMS Technology Technician to join our team. This is a hands-on role that involves assisting with the maintenance and installation of infrastructure and systems which support the Fleet Management System (FMS) and other smart machine systems used on our operations.

This position will be based at Mt Arthur South, where you will work in collaboration with our Electrical and Infrastructure Superintendent to support Thiess's technology systems.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Assisting with installations on new machines
  • Carrying out inspections and repairs during machine overhauls
  • Performing system upgrades as required

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Information Systems or a related field
  • Certificate of Proficiency in a related trade
  • Current Drivers Licence
  • Experience working in an Open Cut Mining environment
  • Knowledge and experience of Fleet Management System (FMS) and other smart machine systems
