Family Violence Specialist

This role is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional to make a meaningful impact in the lives of adults affected by family violence.

The Family Violence Counselling and Support Service (FVCSS) team works collaboratively with a range of services across government and non-government sectors. As a Family Violence Specialist, you will engage with clients to provide information, assessment, brief-intervention, and other appropriate trauma-informed responses.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Assisting adults to recover from their experience of family violence through the provision of information, assessment, counselling, referrals, group work, and other forms of therapeutic intervention.
  • Contribute to and participate in the development, implementation, delivery, and evaluation of programs and group sessions.
  • Providing information and support, referral, and advice to clients and other service providers.
  • Assessing and monitoring the ongoing risk and safety needs of adults affected by family violence who access the service.
  • Identifying, developing, providing, or referring to appropriate services required to meet the needs of adults affected by family violence.

This position involves working primarily evening shifts on a casual basis. The salary range is $73,834 to $111,364 per annum Pro rata, with a 12% superannuation contribution and 25% Casual Loading.
