The Job Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing complex people cases and providing coaching and guidance to support the resolution of HR matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage complex people cases, integrating HR expertise to achieve appropriate HR outcomes;
  • Deliver people projects, presentations, strategies and initiatives to coach and enable managers to make informed HR decisions;
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, being proactive in growing and maintaining strong connections; and
  • Delivery of strategies for employees and managers to support resolution.

About Our Team

The National HR Services Team provides complex HR case management across the employment lifecycle. We work with customers to provide coaching and guidance to support the resolution of complex HR matters and provide advice and guidance on APS people policy and procedures.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • A passion for, and experience in HR and providing HR Services to personnel and managers who are geographically dispersed;
  • A solutions-focused approach and ability to demonstrate initiative, innovation and agility to ensure the Defence workforce is well positioned to deliver Government priorities;
  • Outstanding case management experience with broad exposure to HR issues; and
  • You will seek continual professional development, utilising learning and development opportunities.
