Perinatal Mental Health Professional

This role presents a unique opportunity to collaborate with a multidisciplinary specialist team in the delivery of integrated care services to women, their infants, partners and families experiencing perinatal and infant mental health challenges.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Delivers advanced level clinical services including individualised and group care interventions based on professional training reflecting current best practice standards.
  • Provides comprehensive assessment and care planning for complex and general caseloads at an advanced level.
  • Ensures effective communication and collaboration with colleagues, patients/carers and service providers through professional liaison and regular feedback.
  • Liaises with relevant authorities and external agencies where necessary.
  • Fosters open communication among the multidisciplinary team through verbal and written updates to referring healthcare professionals.

The ideal candidate will hold tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Work or Occupational Therapy and be registered with the relevant professional body (AASW / AHPRA). Experience in running therapy groups and providing individual support will be highly regarded.
