**Maintenance Specialist Role Overview**

We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Specialist to join our mechanical engineering team at the Wambo underground mine and coal handling and preparation plant.

This is a hands-on position where you will gain experience with all facets of mechanical plant across the operation, preparing you well for career advancement in mechanical engineering.

The Wambo Mine complex includes underground mining and coal processing and handling activities and is located 30 kilometres west of Singleton.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Maximise equipment reliability through root cause analysis of delays and component failure to ensure optimal performance.
  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve high levels of reliability and availability for Mining plant and equipment.
  • Lead the warranty management program and facilitate warranty claims and parts reliability for engineering which includes Mobile, CHPP and Underground assets.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement strategies targeting safety, reliability & cost saving initiatives.

**Requirements for Success:**

  • Possess or be in the process of obtaining tertiary qualifications in mechanical engineering or related field.
  • Practical hands-on experience with mechanical mining plant and equipment is essential.
  • A certificate of competence in reliability engineering is preferred but not essential.
