The role of Risk Governance Manager directly supports Retail Products and reports directly to the Senior Manager Product Risk Governance IWPB. The purpose of the position is to support the Senior Manager of Product Risk Governance to enable and validate that colleagues within Retail Products deliver best-in-class products, propositions, and processes while mitigating associated risks.

  • Develop and execute control strategies to improve risk and control management for Retail Products
  • Act as the escalation point for complex Product Risk governance and control matters
  • Provide control expertise and opinions on the end-to-end health of the control environment across Retail Products
  • Support the implementation of Group Risk policies and frameworks for Risk Management, including Operational Risk Transformation actions
  • Manage internal and external audit requirements for Retail Products
  • Engage with ExCO and Risk, Compliance, and Assurance (RCA) counterparts on issues related to monitoring, controls, and remediation
  • Increase risk and control awareness and capability within the Retail Products team

Effective systems, procedures, and control infrastructure must be in place to support product delivery.
