Artificial Intelligence Research Officer

This role is a part of the RISE4SkinCancer program aiming to enhance skin cancer diagnosis and management in the Loddon Mallee Region.

The successful candidate will conduct research on Artificial Intelligence for skin cancer diagnosis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct team research within AI and its healthcare applications.
  • Develop and test models integrating care and improving access for people with skin cancer in the LMR.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders including clinicians, researchers, and community members.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Master's degree or PhD in AI or computer science with relevant higher-level study experience.
  • Research and evaluation experience with ability to work under limited supervision or independently.
  • Record of publications, conference papers, and/or reports demonstrating research potential.
  • Effective communication skills including interacting with diverse backgrounds.
  • Able to work as a member of a team in a cooperative manner.
  • Understanding of AI in healthcare.
